Council misses opportunity to tackle unnecessary administrative burden stemming from the Cosmetic Products Regulation

Brussels, 6 November 2025 – The European Council’s General Approach on the Chemicals Omnibus (Omnibus VI) Regulation has missed the chance to simplify provisions of the Cosmetics Products Regulation and tackle long-lasting competitiveness hurdles identified by the industry while maintaining the highest consumer safety standards. 22 National Associations represent companies in 24 countries and are grouped in four regions. Regional Committees bring together representatives of National Associations and IFRA Regular Members.

Supporting members

Fragrance manufacturers in countries where there is no National Association. They have access to information and services but cannot vote.
